Beginner Reformer Pilates in Pontyclun

Move & Form is a welcoming, female-founded Reformer Pilates studio in Pontyclun, created for every body.

Whether you are completely new to Reformer Pilates, returning after a break or looking to build strength, mobility and confidence, our classes are designed to help you move well and feel good.

We focus on how movement feels and what it can do for you, rather than how it looks. Expect thoughtful teaching, small group classes and plenty of support from our experienced instructors.

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses a specialist Pilates machine called a reformer. Springs, straps and a moving carriage provide resistance and support, allowing exercises to be adapted for different bodies, abilities and levels of experience.

Classes combine controlled movement, strength, stability, mobility and coordination, with an emphasis on moving with intention and developing a better understanding of your body.

What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates can support a wide range of movement goals, from building strength and improving mobility to developing better balance, posture and body awareness.

  • Build full-body strength
  • Improve core stability and control
  • Develop mobility and flexibility
  • Support posture and alignment
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Build confidence in movement
  • Enjoy low-impact, adaptable exercise

Every class can be adapted, allowing you to work at a level that feels appropriate for you.

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. You do not need any previous Pilates or Reformer experience to get started at Move & Form.

If you are completely new to the reformer, we recommend starting with one of our Foundation Reformer Pilates classes or our 6-week Reformer Pilates Foundations course.

These sessions give you time to understand how the reformer works, learn the fundamentals and build confidence before progressing into our other classes.
